OTTAWA, Ontario and TOKYO, October 14, 2025 – Square Peg Communications, the company that helps transform bold ideas into proven realities, today announced a distribution agreement with Artiza Networks. Under the agreement, Artiza will expand the reach and availability of the Square Peg RLS-2100 Radio Link Simulator into the Japanese market.

Starting immediately, Japanese satellite communications operators, manufacturers, integrators and chipset developers will be able to validate and emulate satellite communication environments in a laboratory setting. The technology enables seamless integration of satellite and terrestrial networks in the lab, eliminating the need for costly on-orbit testing.

The RLS-2100 is ideal for emulating 5G non-terrestrial network (NTN) and high-altitude platform station (HAPS) terminals, direct-to-device and hybrid communications systems. It allows users to emulate a wide range of NTN scenarios and terrestrial use cases, including communications during natural disasters like earthquakes, typhoons, tsunamis and floods.

The RLS-2100 is the first solution to support up to 2.4 GHz of bandwidth in a compact, all-in-one solution for ultra-wideband hardware-in-the-loop tests. A major feature of the RLS-2100 system is its ability to calculate multiple satellite orbits in real time, from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO), and emulate communication paths. It also allows users to conduct dynamic and precise 5G NTN testing of new use cases, and enables seamless OpenAMIP modem to antenna integration. In addition, the RLS-2100 now supports multi-orbit scenarios, allowing users to emulate combined satellite constellations across LEO, MEO, and GEO. This capability enables flexible validation and R&D for next-generation multi-orbit satellite networks.
