New RF Unit-A for LTE-A

Support Comprehensive Test Configurations for LTE-A

3GPP has introduced a series of radio access techniques into LTE-A specifications. One of the most important strategies for mobile operator’s service roll-out is spectrum/bandwidth migration into LTE/LTE-A from legacy cellular system. Artiza’s new RF Unit-A has been developed to support all of the requirements without any hardware changes, such as a wide range of spectrum from 698 MHz to 3.8 GHz frequency bandwidth and up to 8x8 DL MIMO configuration.

  • Covers all operating bands as defined by 3GPP
    • Carrier frequency from 698 MHz to 3,800 MHz
    • No need to replace hardware for different bands
  • Four (4) times the capacity of current RF Unit AN2-S-RF-02
  • Supports Carrier Aggregation / multiple cells
    • Supports 2 Carrier Components (CC) or 2 cells per RF Unit
  • Supports maximum MIMO configuration (when using 1 CC)
    • UL Antenna 4 ports (or 2 ports per CC, when using 2CC)
    • DL Antenna 8 ports (or 4 ports per CC, when using 2CC)
  • Supports 2 UE
    • Two (2) lines of independent power controls for each UL antenna port
  • IQ Capture Memory
    • Trigger function allows drill down analysis from upper layer events to RF layer
  • Maximum Transmit Power:+23dBm
  • Supports AFC/AGC/TPC
  • Supports CPRI
    • Less cabling issue
